Cookie Policy
This page describes, honestly and specifically, what this website stores in your browser. We keep this list short on purpose — it only lists what is actually in use, not what a typical cookie policy template usually lists.
Necessary cookies and storage
restrobuddy_admin_session — an httpOnly, secure (in production), SameSite=Lax cookie set only when a RestroBuddy staff member signs in to the admin dashboard at /admin. It holds a signed session token, expires automatically after 8 hours, and is never set for ordinary visitors browsing the site. It cannot be disabled, since it is what keeps an admin signed in — there is nothing to opt out of unless you don't use the admin dashboard, in which case it is never set at all.
Local storage (not a cookie) — this site also uses your browser's local storage (a different, non-cookie mechanism) for two small preferences, neither of which is sent to our servers:
restrobuddy-theme— remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.restrobuddy-cookie-consent— remembers the choice you make in the cookie banner below, so we don't ask again every visit.
Optional analytics
This website does not currently load Google Analytics, any advertising pixel, or any other third-party analytics or tracking script — we checked the site's source directly before writing this policy, and there is none. The cookie banner still offers an "Optional Analytics" toggle so you can record a preference ahead of time; today that toggle does not turn anything on, because nothing analytics-related exists to turn on. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first.
Third-party cookies
None. This site loads its fonts and scripts from itself, not from a third-party CDN that could set its own cookies.
Managing your choice
You can change your cookie preference at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page, or by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
